As we navigate the busyness of our days, it's easy to lose sight of the blessings that surround us. In the midst of deadlines, school runs, making the turkey, trimming the tree, and endless to-do lists, I want to take a moment to remind you of the beauty in the chaos.
Beloved momma, it is possible to have grateful hearts and busy days as we enter into this holiday season. Today is a day expressly set aside to remind us to count our many blessings.
I want to invite you to cozy up with me and
consider how we might cultivate this heart of gratitude.
Gratitude in the Little Moments
Life as a Christian working mom is like a juggling act, with so many balls in the air at once. It's easy to focus on the challenges, but what if, even in the midst of the whirlwind, we paused to find gratitude in the little moments?
The laughter of our children,
The refrigerator that actually has food in it,
The joy of the dishwasher running (my dishwasher is out of commission right now),
The warmth of a morning hug (maybe it's from your kiddos, your hubby or that warm fuzzy fur animal),
The first cup of coffee in the morning (Just pause and breath it in DEEPLY),
The support of a friend,
—these are the treasures that make our hearts full.
Take a moment today;
write out some of the 'little moments' in your life.
An Overflowing Cup
In the midst of your busy days, I encourage you to take a moment to reflect on the abundance that fills your cup. Yes, your cup may seem overflowing with tasks and responsibilities, but it's also filled with love, strength, and the grace to navigate it all.
Your ability to manage the chaos with resilience and a loving heart is nothing short of inspiring.
Pause for a moment; envision a cup...YOU are that cup.
How full do you currently see the cup?
Imagine your cup overflowing.
What do you want to see OVERFLOWING FROM YOUR CUP?
This is a fun exercise for me because I have a vivid imagination. I often envision my innermost being as a fountain. I see good things like peace, love, humility, integrity, joy, etc., springing from my well-spring and splashing out on others.
A Heart of Thanksgiving
As Thanksgiving approaches, let's cultivate a heart of gratitude, not just on the holiday itself but let's weave it into the fabric of our daily lives.
Start a gratitude journal,
jot down three things you're thankful for each day,
or simply take a moment in the quiet spaces to express gratitude.
It's incredible how this simple practice can shift our perspective and bring a sense of peace amidst the chaos. By practicing this habit on a daily basis, you are building a reservoir of gratitude.

A Prayer for You as You Cultivate a Grateful Heart Amidst Busy Days
Dear Jesus,
I lift up every busy mom reading this message. In the midst of the chaos, may she find moments of peace. In the challenges, may she discover strength she didn't know she possessed. And in the everyday victories, may she recognize Your abundant grace. Bless each mom, Lord, and let her know she is seen, valued, and deeply loved in ways she's never comprehended before.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
Closing Thoughts
So, to you, the incredible mom who is doing her best each day, I see you, I appreciate you, and I am thankful for you.
May this season of Thanksgiving be filled with joy, love, and moments of quiet reflection on the abundant blessings that grace your life.
